Thermal paper is also known as thermal fax paper, thermal recording paper, thermal copy paper, in Taiwan is called thermal copy paper. Thermal paper is a kind of processing paper, and its manufacturing principle is to coat a layer of "thermal coating" (thermochromic layer) on high-quality base paper. Although there are more than a dozen kinds of chemicals used in this color-changing layer, there are at least the following compounds: leuco dyes, which are widely used, and fluorescent compounds are most commonly used; The color developer accounts for less than 20%, commonly used are bisphenol and p-hydroxybenzoic acid; The sensitizer accounts for less than 10%, which contains benzenesulfonic acid amide compounds; The filler accounts for less than 50%, and calcium carbonate (particles) is commonly used; adhesives account for less than 10%, such as polyvinyl acetate; stabilizers, such as phthalic acid dibenzoyl; lubricants, etc. Therefore, the process is difficult and the technical requirements are high.
